Haven’t played bowls before? No problem, our friendly members will help you out with everything you need to know.

As primarily a competitive bowling club, we are members of Bowls Scotland who run national championships, regional knockouts and the national teams.

At a local level we are members of The Edinburgh Bowling Association who run all the Edinburgh leagues and local knockout competitions and select all of the Edinburgh’s county teams. These competitions include the prestigious Tait Trophy (Edinburgh’s champion of champions).

We are also members of The Edinburgh’s Top 10 Association who are responsible for the Top 10 knockout competition. This competition covers all the disciplines of the game of bowls, 1 Rink, 1 Triple, 1 Pair and a Single.  The winners of this tournament represent Edinburgh in a National Top 10 tournament to hopefully become Scottish Champions.

Our seniors are members of South Edinburgh Seniors BA where they play Leagues and Knockouts.

If you do not have the competitive streak yet and just want to learn our members are more than willing to help you understand the rules of the game and how to get the most enjoyment from the game. Ideal for the novice or expert alike, our aim is for our members to enjoy the game of bowls at whatever level they are comfortable with.
