Having successfully opened our green on 29th June we have since went onto opening the clubhouse and now it is time to extend this further by creating some internal tournaments. The Committee has decided not to run our usual tournaments as some members will still not be able to partake and that would not be fair.
We have instead created one off special tournaments for this year. They are listed below and should you wish to participate please use the form below to select your choices.
We will start with the Super Singles, a 4 bowl singles first to 21 tournament. You will be required to arrange your own ties, marker and book your time slot via the online Rink Booker.
The second tournament, the Lockdown Layup, will be held on Saturday 22nd August. Starting around 10am this will be drawn out the hat pairs round robin. Depending on entries this may then have a quarter finals, but will have Semi finals before completing the day with a Final.
We will draw the Super Singles on Thursday 13th August 18:00. So please complete your entry prior to this time. ‘Played by’ dates will need to very strict, so please once published get contacting your opponent to arrange your tie.
It has been very pleasing to see everyone adhering to social distancing rules in place at the club and we must still continue to do so throughout this time. However in light of further easing of government restrictions we have opened the green up so all rinks can be booked each day at the times stated on the calendar. We have also increased the booking slots to two hours to allow you all to enjoy your bowls further.
